Amor Militante

Mía, mía, mía, no digas mía.

al centro;

Militant Love

Whilst all the atrocities were taking place, you and I were melting on each other in the warmth of a bed, falling in love. How could all this happen? People drowning into hell in the Mediterranean and the Aegean or scattered over infertile land, the most powerful idiot of the world threatening our hope. Yet, you and I in the warmth of a bed, in the midst of so many tragedies.

(Transient happy endings are not just for cowards

Come closer, I am just like you.
Listen to the heartbeats of my perverse heart.
Listen that what frees me from fear and from this perpetual solitude to which we are convicted
Is to know you mine,
To see you mine, in each and every one of my landscapes
Spotless, you and I, like soul mates. United by blood. Warm and soft as your uterus walls).

Mine, mine, mine, do not say mine. Mine is possession, not love.
Did you know?
Those who learned to love in cheap rooms of shared flats, those, us, can not do this.
Let’s put care in the centre, come with me to the revolution of affections.
Let's talk in trench vocabulary
In words like: polyamory, anarchic relationships, network of affections
Let's say 'fuck you' to emotional capitalism - but you already knew that.
Elisa - did you know that?

(Yes I knew that, that thing of occupying relationships as we took the squares, and, to form with them a new world. But then the obligations that my condition of being alive demand: to produce, to work, etcetera. That's why I struggle, do you understand? ).

Let’s put life in the centre,

From our life away from the centre
To the centre;
To the centre of our tiny community, let’s make it clear, not to the centre of things, neither to the centre of the system, nor to the centre of the world, but to the centre of life
Where life happens, where we all can fuck each other in a desperate attempt to build something resembling a community.

(That's why it hurts, do you get it? That's why my blood hurts because when I saw you with another one, my heart fell in the washing machine and started to spin, crashing against the walls. How dangerous the blood outside the body, splashing the walls. That’s why it frightens me, do you understand?).

I was afraid of giving you a red lipstick kiss, to stain you in red and to leave you in red forever.

Whist all the atrocities were taking place, you and I were melting on each other on a warm bed, falling in love.

(Transient happy endings are not just for cowards)

“Cut-Glass Kink”, me dicen algunos clientes.

I hate you”, “Simona I hate you”, “Simona I hate you”.

Soy miedo, rabia y odio.

Algunas noches, me imagino nuestra muerte y nuestro funeral en “Old St Pancras Church”.

Alguien recita “Mara Crossing” de Ruth Padel y cuando llega al verso de “you go because the kingdom of hell has taken over someone else’s heart” lo repite tres veces:

You go because the kingdom of hell has taken over someone else’s heart”
“You go because the kingdom of hell has taken over someone else’s heart”
“You go because the kingdom of hell has taken over someone else’s heart”

The story of a little death

Do you remember when we used to drink champagne in cardboard glasses? I had almost forgotten. We were sitting on the roof of the Central Saint Martins, eleven stories high but it wasn’t a cliff and we weren’t afraid. I remember the feeling of the cold wind on our bare feet and that even our sweat smelled of hot champagne by the pheromones. You were telling me about "Impenetrable" of Mona Hatoum, the ether and the wires and I tear the paper of the glasses with the nails whenever you returned me a smile.

I remember about drinking champagne on cardboard glasses and about writing in your diary a list of ‘to-do things’: to boil rice, to buy crocus, to knit ropes to go climbing, to go down to Columbia Road Flower Market on Sunday to buy Gardenias. I also remember about falling asleep while you were reading me Anne Sexton's “Eighteen Days Without You” and about finding you sitting at Rothko's Tate room. As cataclysmic, destructive, sensual and unforgettable as reality should ever be.

Ever since you told me “it's over”, “I'm done” I've become the queen of the London Dungeons. “Cut-Glass Kink”, some customers say. I’m accumulating wads of notes. It is as if I prepared myself for a hecatomb and I needed to save black money to buy weapons, to pay to the traffickers of people to escape, or to buy cocaine to die with dignity. What do I know? I am so humiliated that I get ‘full on’ in the sessions. I ask them to put me a muzzle of leather, to stretch my hair, to drag me on the ground, to spank me hard with the whip of long strains, to call me “useless bitch”, to say “go on your kneels, swallow my cock” and to slap on my face with their open hand. They say “if you want me to stop”, “say Black”, “say Daniel” and I answer “continue”, “stronger”, “hit me”, “cut me”, “pinch me”. Since you left, pain is the only feeling I can connect with. The kisses, the caresses…I swear that I can’t stand it.

I have dreamed about your blood, your blood and your uterus, and about seeing how you do surgery to yourself with a scalpel. I dream that you have a lot of blood. I miss your strength so much.

I miss your strength and I have a list of fears. I am afraid of this darkness being only the beginning of an endless fall to not be able to feel. I am afraid that one day the rage and the madness will invade me and that I will write at the walls of Central Saint Martins “Simona I hate you”, “Simona I hate you”, “Simona I hate you”. I'm afraid of having lost Nick Cave and Leonard Cohen forever. They no longer remind me of sensuality and of cataclysm. They only remind me of the cold in London, of the darkness of the winter evenings and of the streets full of people who are always not you.

I am fear, anger and hatred.

And what else?

That the nights are no longer to sleep. They are to hate and to panic.

Some nights, I imagine our death and our funeral at “Old St Pancras Church”.

Someone recites “Mara Crossing” by Ruth Padel and when it comes to the verse of “you go because the kingdom of hell has taken over someone else's heart” repeats it three times:

“You go because the kingdom of hell has taken over someone else's heart”
“You go because the kingdom of hell has taken over someone else's heart”
“You go because the kingdom of hell has taken over someone else's heart”

“Rings of Saturn” from “Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds” sounds in the background and our souls float amongst galaxy dust. “Let's push the sky”, I say up there.
And here below, our expression is blue moon, as when we still laughed.
“Let's push the sky”, “let's be ether now that, at last, we are dead”.

We put ourselves in play with our eroticism and Bataille said “Le petite mort” and so we died. We had no other choice.

And thinking about dying lets me cry, and only when I can cry can I be sadness instead of hate and sometimes even fall asleep.
